Now we've come to May and the season has really been too fast to believe. We've had snow right up until the last week of April, so It's hard to believe that summer is so close. We've been so busy with so many things. Rebecca was in Midsummer Night's dream and Heaven's Gates, Hell's Flames in April and saw a few of her friends give thier hearts to Jesus.
Linda witnessed to some deaf ladies at Anchorage Native Assembly, Jake checked out of school early and is homeschooling while he assists his mom in California. Ha! It was 95 degrees when Linda and Jake got to Cali on April 11th. |

February in AlaskaYou know what? It’s cold in Anchorage!! Last week provided a streak of days that were twenty or more degrees below, so our ease into the frigid Northern climate was notched up a bit. It was amazing that we were delighted to see the temperature return to the friendly side of 0. Our California minivan has been a champ most of the time and has taken us where we needed to be every time. One Sunday morning, the heater didn't come on because it was too cold for the fan motor to spin, so we drove to church with our teeth chattering and trying not to exhale as to keep from fogging up the windows. When we got to church we learned that over half the congregation is without a vehicle. That puts stuff in perspective. Jake was undeterred by the cold weather. He was very excited about facing the challenge of 20 degrees below and as soon as Mom left the house one day, he wentout to test his tolerance. At church, Anchorage Native Assembly, we're really getting to know some great brothers and sisters. |
